Affiliate & Partner Disclosure

1. Supplier commissions

Like most travel agencies, we receive commission from hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, rail companies, insurers and car hire firms when a booking is completed and travelled. Commission is paid by the supplier out of the published rate — it is not added on top of your price.

2. Affiliate links

Some links on this site — to insurance providers, luggage and gear brands, eSIM services, airport transfer platforms and destination attraction tickets — are affiliate links. If you buy through them we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.

3. Consortium and preferred partners

We belong to travel consortia and preferred-partner programmes that give our clients upgrades, resort credits, breakfast inclusions and early check-in. These programmes also pay us enhanced commission. We show you the value you receive so you can judge the trade-off.

4. Planning fees

For complex custom itineraries we also charge a transparent planning fee, quoted before any work begins. This lets us recommend low- or zero-commission options — such as non-commissionable airfare or boutique guesthouses — when they are genuinely the best choice.

5. Sponsored and gifted travel

Occasionally we join familiarisation trips hosted by tourism boards or hotels at reduced cost. Any review, article or destination guide informed by such a trip is labelled. Hosting never guarantees a positive recommendation, and we remove properties from our list when standards drop.

6. Managing conflicts of interest

• Travel designers are not paid bonuses tied to a single supplier.
• We always present at least one alternative to a commissionable recommendation on request.
• We tell you plainly when a cheaper option exists that pays us less.
• Reviews and ratings quoted on this site are not edited to favour partners.
