Health, Safety & Activity Risks Disclaimer
Last updated: August 6, 2026
Travel involves risk that cannot be eliminated. By booking with WanderLuxe Travel you acknowledge and voluntarily assume the risks described here. Discuss any concern with us before you pay: +1 (305) 555-0142 or booking@wanderluxetravel.com.
1. Fitness to travel
Itineraries can involve long transfers, uneven terrain, stairs without lifts, heat, humidity, cold, high altitude and limited medical facilities. You are responsible for judging — with your doctor where appropriate — whether you are fit for the activities booked, and for declaring conditions that may require assistance.
2. Activity risks
- Water: snorkelling, diving, rafting and boat transfers carry drowning, marine-life, current and decompression risks.
- Mountains: trekking and climbing carry altitude sickness, falls, rockfall, hypothermia and weather-closure risks.
- Wildlife: safari and jungle activities involve unpredictable animals; guide instructions are mandatory.
- Motorised: quad bikes, jet skis, scooters and helicopter transfers carry collision risk; local licensing rules apply and insurance may exclude them.
- Cultural sites: ancient steps, low doorways, unlit passages and no handrails are common.
3. Health preparation
- See a travel health clinic 4–8 weeks before departure for vaccinations and malaria advice.
- Carry prescription medication in original packaging with a doctor's letter; check that it is legal at your destination.
- Pack a basic first-aid kit and any personal rescue medication in your cabin baggage.
- Follow food and water precautions given in your pre-departure pack.
4. Insurance is required in practice
Medical evacuation from a remote region can cost more than a trip itself. We require you to either hold adequate medical and evacuation coverage or acknowledge in writing that you decline it and accept the cost.
5. On-tour conduct
Follow all safety briefings, wear provided protective equipment, and respect local laws and customs. Guides and operators may exclude a traveler from an activity for safety reasons, intoxication or disruptive behaviour, without refund. Unaccompanied minors are not accepted on adventure activities.
6. Assumption of risk
To the extent permitted by law, you release WanderLuxe Travel from liability for injury, illness, loss or damage arising from participation in activities operated by third parties, or from your own acts or omissions. Operators may require you to sign their own waiver on site; refusal may mean forfeiting that activity without refund.
